Jennifer manages UC's Arts Digital Lab, and has contributed to many of the Lab's major projects, including CEISMIC/QuakeStudies (the Canterbury Earthquakes digital archive), Understanding Place/Red Zone Stories (mapping stories of Christchurch's residential red zone), the Canterbury Roll (an interactive digital edition of a medieval manuscript), and QuakeBox (a longitudinal study recording stories from the Canterbury earthquakes). Their background is in linguistics and mathematics, and they completed their MLING thesis in 2017, using statistical modelling to compare syntactic structures in the QuakeBox spoken language corpus with the written language of the Christchurch Press.
